Our History
Dobam Theological College (DTC), formerly known as New Life Bible College, is an institution owned and nurtured by the Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council. The college began its journey in 2004 under the name New Life Bible Training Institute, established with the vision of providing sound theological education to local Christian workers.
The institute was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Sumi in December 2003 and commenced its first academic session on February 15, 2004, with fifteen students and a small team of faculty members led by Rev. Tinu Yangba Imchen. Initially, the college offered the Certificate in Theology (C.Th.) and Diploma in Theology (Dip.Th.) programs. In response to growing needs and academic development, the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) program was introduced in 2016.
The institution continued under the name New Life Bible College until September 2025. That year, the Asia Theological Association (ATA) recommended a change in nomenclature due to the presence of several institutions with similar names. Following this guidance, the college adopted its new identity as Dobam Theological College (DTC).
Today, DTC remains steadfast in its mission, committed to providing comprehensive theological education and equipping future Christian leaders for faithful and effective ministry.
